LIGHT SOURCES
Shops
In every city, there are some shopping streets where businesses keep the lights of the shop windows on all night and where there is definitely a disproportionate amount of lights on even after the shops have closed for the day.
Major shopping centres are usually also partly illuminated at night and beyond opening hours, but their lighting is often reduced compared to full lighting during opening hours. In this context, energy efficiency is a natural ally in the fight against light pollution.
