
DARKERSKY4CE: Sentinel Alliance
The Sentinel Alliance is a result of the DARKERSKY4CE project carried out as part of the Interreg Central Europe programme, it aims at ensuring a stable entity that will actually pursue all the necessary actions in order to reduce light pollution and to highlight all resulting benefits.

Purpose
The Alliance aims to:
- Strengthen cooperation between institutions on light pollution
- Raise awareness among policymakers, professionals, citizens and tourists
- Promote best practices for sustainable lighting management
- Support dark sky tourism in rural areas
Identify new funding opportunities

Organisation
- Alliance Assembly: Main decision-making body of the Alliance.
Defines the Alliance’s strategy, approves statutes, elects the Board, admits new members, and meets at least twice a year.
- Alliance Board: Executive body responsible for implementing the Assembly’s decisions. It is composed of 7 elected members (President, Deputy, Secretary), managing the Alliance’s activities between Assembly meetings and serving two-year renewable terms.
